Transparent/Translucent Polychromatic Color Description: Designed to give a range of purples. Properties: High color saturation, translucent, luster. Working characteristics: This color is an oddball and has two striking temperatures. There are things it will do in the flame that it won’t do in the kiln and vice versa. Tips: Can strike clear in flame. If clear, will not strike in kiln and needs to be struck to yellow (minimum) before placing into kiln. If purple when going into kiln, prolonged striking will make it appear black. |
