Working characteristics: Flame and kiln strike. Try pre-working by gathering in a hot reducing flame. Pull out into rod and use.
Tips: Contains silver. Strike in back of flame to develop silver colors. Kiln strike for reds. Beat this color up for best results. Makes a great undercoat.

Color Description: Highly metallic ruby with rainbow metalics. Can create an antique quality to your work.

Working characteristics: Flame or kiln strike. Work very hot. Allow to cool before striking silver colors in back of flame, then kiln strike.
Tips: Finished piece will have spots of silver and copper metal. These can be left as-is or buffed to a shine.

Working characteristics: Even more silver than 383 with no nuclei or other additives. Work in neutral or oxidizing flame.
Tips: To strike, the glass must be cool prior to placing in back of flame.

Color Description: Designed to give a range of purples.
Properties: High color saturation, translucent, luster.
Working characteristics: This color is an oddball and has two striking temperatures. There are things it will do in the flame that it won’t do in the kiln and vice versa.
Tips: Can strike clear in flame. If clear, will not strike in kiln and needs to be struck to yellow (minimum) before placing into kiln. If purple when going into kiln, prolonged striking will make it appear black.

Color Description: Green-blue base loaded with silver so that the color is in your hands.
Properties: Medium high color saturation, translucent, striking-luster.
Working characteristics: Work hot in neutral to oxidizing flame. Let cool, strike in back of flame. This color can also be preworked in reducing flame, gathered, pulled out, and then used.
Tips: Contains nuclei to enhance the effects from striking. Metallic luster will differ depending on flame chemistry. High copper levels can also be reduced to red.
